Yippy We are Going off Track!


Mark your calendars, we go off track on Friday, November 13th! Class will be back on Track beginning Monday, December 7th! Have a wonderful and safe time off track!

Spelling and Vocabulary for Nov. 6th through Nov. 12th

amphibian - an animal that lives near water and as an adult has lungs

invertebrate - an animal without a backbone
mammal - an animal with fur or hair that gives birth to live young
vertebrate - an animal with a backbone

VOCABULARY WORDS

adaptation - the structure, behavior, or other trait in an organism that helps it to survive in its environment.
coniferous - evergreen plants that stay green all year and never lose their leaves.
deciduous - plants whihc lose their leaves in the fall and grow new leaves in the spring.
forest - a large area of land that is covered with trees.
desert - an area of land that receives less than ten inches of rainfall a year.
hibernation - an inactive, sleep-like state during the winter.
